- Status: AIDA (Artificial Intelligence and Data Act) died January 2025 when Parliament was prorogued. No replacement bill as of March 2026.
- Signals: Provincial initiatives (Quebec Law 25 data protection); federal voluntary Code of Practice for Generative AI
- Trajectory: No enactment timeline. Passive watch only until new federal legislation is proposed.
